My Husky highlight 💥 for today was… having lunch 🥪 with the 3rd, 4th & 5th graders… watching our 1st basketball 🏀 game of the season with shot clocks for the 1st time ever in Oregon… and getting a little bit of weather ❄️ today made it really pretty outside! Due to inclement weather, the 6 o'clock bus is canceled. All basketball practices will end at 5 PM. To ensure the safety of our students, everyone planning to ride the 6 o'clock bus will be arriving home on the 5 o'clock bus. Stay safe and stay warm!

The favorite part of my day was… Seeing Mrs. Macnab in her winning turkey hat! …Picking the intercom song for Ducks vs Beavers day…seeing everyone dressed up & realizing the beloved & retired Mr. Lewis wasn’t even subbing for us today, he just wanted to visit in the morning to give the kids a hard time! …And the end of day assembly games! The favorite part of my day was… Coaching at our middle school girls basketball practice…& Hearing Mrs. Macnab and Mrs. Fields be named over the intercom as the teachers who have the most fundraised turkey feathers. The favorite part of my day was… Seeing all the students & families come in for conferences…the new fliers created & hanging for the upcoming fun events…joining in on a few student conferences & hearing all the support around the table for each student…& receiving an email at the end of the evening from a parent wanting to express their appreciation for our teachers & school community as a whole. The favorite part of my day was… Walking into the cafeteria only to be greeted by the friendliest table of 1st grade students in the entire state! Each of these young ladies got up & greeted me with excited hugs & smiles for no reason at all other than they are just full of pure joy & friendliness… And starting coaching middle school girls basketball with 5th-8th grade. The favorite part of my day was… Finalizing & sending the 1st Staff Monthly Newsletter. One of my goals is to continue to improve communication & connectedness with the entire school community (internally & externally). We have started sending out the Husky Monthly newsletter to all families and students this school year, we have the daily post that we share, & now we have the Staff Monthly communication. There are more plans to expand two-way communication channels among all stakeholders as well.
