***Joint Media Post***
This morning, the Sherman County School District was made aware by the Sherman County Sheriff’s Office of a reported online threat. The Sheriff’s Office immediately responded to the school, and an investigation determined the message to be a non-credible, false threat, with several indicators suggesting it may be part of a national hoax.
The Sheriff’s Office maintained an increased presence on school property and in the surrounding area. The school followed all safety protocols, and operations continued as usual today.
While there was no evidence indicating a real or immediate danger, all safety concerns are taken seriously. District officials worked closely with law enforcement to ensure the safety of students and staff, which remains the top priority for both the District and the Sheriff’s Office.
Just a reminder—tomorrow is a staff professional development day. 🙌 That means no school for students. Enjoy your day off!
The Snoopy bus is running about 15 minutes late. Thank you for understanding.

The favorite part of my day was…
Watching & listening to the 8th grade science class teach circuits to the 1st grade STEM class. Providing opportunities to reinforce learning as well as to develop leadership & mentors. Shoutout to Mrs. Macnab & Mrs. Cranston for seeing the multiple opportunities this provides for our students.
