The favorite part of my day was… Seeing our Conduct of Chapter Meeting team compete at the FFA State Convention! They represented Sherman County well as 1 of only 8 teams competing to go to nationals. Congrats to Henry Poirier for receiving his state degree & good luck to Sawyer as he is in the running for State Officer! Superintendent Fall #EveryKidEveryDay100WhateverItTakes

The favorite part of my day was… Seeing others’ reactions to how “cool” Miss Jen is as she pulled up this morning on her Harley…& a senior genuinely asking me if I’m going to be here in 4 years because she wants to come back & teach elementary at our school because it seems like it would be “so fun to be part of our staff”. This is EXACTLY what we want to build—a culture where our students want to come back & be a part of our team…helping to develop the next generation of leaders. The favorite part of my day was… Seeing the senior class & realizing how quickly graduation is approaching for them!! And seeing our 2nd grade class take their reading time outside on the beautiful day that it was. Superintendent Fall #EveryKidEveryDay100WhateverItTakes

The favorite part of my day was… Hearing the intercom announcement for “all staff to report to the high school gym for a game of Knockout. Be there or be square.” Nothing like a quick brain break from work for some team bonding. A secondary favorite part of my day may or may not have been winning said game of Knockout! The favorite part of my day was… Seeing the pictures of the high school students working with the younger elementary grades as they begin their leprechaun trap projects. We have some really great high school students who are setting great examples for our younger students & are such positive role models. To see how the younger students look up to them is a great reminder for our high schoolers of how much of an important leadership role they play in our school. The favorite part of my day was… Starting my morning with these crazy Cat in the Hats…joining the official unofficial “welcoming crew” on the high school end in the never ending challenge to get the sleepy high schoolers to greet us with a return “Good morning”…& seeing the pictures from 3rd grade making their oobleck! Congratulations to HS Chess for bringing home the 3rd place trophy from the 60th annual Oregon High School Chess Team Association State Championship in the 3A-2A-1A division.

The favorite part of my day was… Watching Sophie sign her letter of intent for track & field next year at Linfield University!!! ..getting these pictures sent to me from Mr. Stuart with the chess team at the state tournament…& watching our students in Jack & the Beanstalk. The favorite part of my day was… Getting the following message & email from Mr. Swenson… We had another great FFA trip today, this time to Clackamas for the Sectional contest. Sawyer placed 3rd in Extemporaneous public speaking & our Conduct team placed 1st, and are going to the State Contest! The state contest will take place at the FFA State Convention, which will be March 21-24 in Redmond. The favorite part of my day was… Seeing the great turnout for our Missoula Children’s Theater week (come see the performances Friday & Saturday nights!)…& the FFA officer posters hanging in the school as they are on their way to FFA Sectionals!
