The favorite part of my day was… Seeing Mrs. Cranston’s Earth Science class outside during their heat transfer unit in preparation for visiting NOAA guest speakers…having our made from scratch lunch of chicken Dorito casserole, bean salad, & whole peaches…seeing the student store open for the 1st time this year…& watching our 5th ranked volleyball team sweep #6 Ione-Arlington 3-0 on their home court. The favorite part of my day was… Visiting 3rd grade & seeing the class contract & strengths students see in themselves…& our Anatomy class & seeing students doing autopsies on cucumbers…& finishing off the day with our first home middle school volleyball game & seeing their lockers covered with encouragement from their teammates. The favorite part of my day was… Watching & hearing about our Huskies winning all weekend long…Football & varsity volleyball Friday night in dominating performances…varsity & JV volleyball Saturday…& Cross country debuting with a strong showing! The favorite part of my day was… Getting in & seeing three of our new elective classes…Design Science students learning about what makes a logo effective & designing a logo on Canva for a business of their choice…Intro to Business students researching the major components of what makes a business run & be successful…& Building in STEM class. The favorite part of my day was… Already seeing the halls & walls come alive with student work after only 4 days of school…whether it’s Leadership bulletin boards, secondary Science & STEM, or 1st grade proudly displaying their victory from the all-school assembly yesterday & Mrs. Gratiot giving a sneak peek where amazing work is soon to come…you don’t have to look hard or far to see students’ personalities, pride, & accomplishments as soon as students are back in the building at the beginning of a new year! 🏐🏈 Middle School Sports Start Today! 🏈🏐A reminder that Middle School Volleyball and Middle School Football practices begin after school today after school! 🐾 🏐 A Middle School Volleyball parent meeting is being held today at 4:45 PM in the Elementary Gym.

Back to School Night is tonight at 6:00! 🎉 Schedules and locker info will soon be posted on Parent/StudentVue, and hard copies will be available at the event. 🍽️ Enjoy dinner while connecting with staff and families. Senior parents will meet at 6:15 in Room 7 🎓 and 6th grade families at 6:15 in Room 12 📚. We can’t wait to see you there!
