The favorite part of my day was… Seeing the flier for the upcoming concert…stopping in to the middle school ASB leadership meeting where student leaders are planning class events…& reading the most recent chess tournament article in the newspaper! Music, chess, & student leadership…great kids in great programs…& 3 ways we are focusing on strengthening student engagement, student voice, & student empowerment in our school community. The favorite part of my day was… Seeing our elementary students expressing thanks to our custodial crew…giving a quarterly report at the County Court…having the locally-sourced home made pot roast & root veggies lunch today that students & adults were raving about…seeing our youngest students hard at work on their writing skills…& ending the day making real headway with our strategic plan in our collaborative leadership team meeting. The favorite part of my day was… Seeing these letters come off the printer & seeing some of the immediate benefits of our developing intervention programming. We are fortunately staffed with qualified educators in key roles. The process of working to get staff in roles they are passionate & skilled in & then watching the students reap the benefits is, to put simply, incredibly rewarding. The favorite part of my day was… Seeing the expanded menu for our 6th-12th grade student-led store & hearing how excited the middle school students continue to be (thanks for the photo bomb Mr. B)…& getting together for our staff meeting & hearing staff share wins & shoutouts from the week of school. Our K-5 afterschool program, SKORE, is back for the fall! 🍂 Registration is now open for the upcoming session, which runs from September 29 to December 11.

This session will feature a variety of fun and engaging activities, including: 📚 Book Club, ♟️ Chess, 📣 Cheer, 👩‍🍳 Cooking, and 🎨 Arts & Crafts.
