The favorite part of my day was…
(again) realizing how proud our staff is of our students. In the past 48 hours alone 4 different staff have texted me pictures sharing the good things our students are doing, learning, & experiencing. Our staff are proud of our students & wanting to share that positivity with others. Whether it’s Kindergarten & 1st grade art & Ag in the classroom, or 6th grade outdoor school & FFA tractor driving results, our staff celebrate our students & school daily. We invite everyone to join our staff & celebrate all the good things going on in our student community.

(Yesterday) decorating & delivering gifts to the offices of our amazing Administrative Professionals with all of the student made posters of appreciation.
And today…attending day 1 of the ORTIi/PBIS conference with our team of 6 teachers & specialists. We are here learning together about how we can continue to develop & strengthen our systems of support for all of our students, both behaviorally & academically.

The favorite part of my day was…
Stepping in to see Husky Helping Hands in action. It’s evident students love Mr. Dearborn because they know he cares, & this is one solid example of that. He provides after school academic support every Wednesday. His classroom is also one that regularly welcomes secondary students to eat their lunch & hang out in his room during lunch time. He sets a great example for ALL students.

Catching moments like this throughout our school day. Not only as Principal but also as a parent, I know & am grateful we have a staff that cares & wants the best for our kids on a level that any parent would always hope for.

The favorite part of my day was…
Our monthly character trait awards assembly for kindergarten through 6th grade. Our new student council leadership group did an excellent job doing a reader’s theater of what integrity means & how it shows up in our daily actions at school & beyond.

The favorite part of my day was…
Seeing the student participation in our new drama club led by Mr. Dorzab. Whether it’s a SKORE activity like drama, or it’s track, tennis, baseball, chess, gaming club, FFA, or Husky Helping Hands, we are working to continue to expand our extracurricular after-school offerings for students. Being involved in after-school activities is a great way for students to get & stay on track & be more engaged in their education.
