The favorite part of my day was… Visiting Yearbook class and hearing students share out the words and phrases that they think of when they think of our school…fresh, clean, good school spirit, connected, and full of new opportunities. The favorite part of my day was… The fact that it was only our second day of school and I already have received multiple requests and ideas from our high school leadership class… the request to have an established regular meeting with the class, our first assembly, an idea for a community service project, an idea for a fundraiser, and a field trip approval request for an awesome looking leadership conference coming up soon. This is one example of our our strategic planning already in action. To elevate and empower student voices in order to take real ownership over their education…to lead their peers…developing leaders now and for the future. The favorite part of my day was… Welcoming students back for our 1st day of school…whether it was seeing Specials happen in our updated “Home Ec” room with Mrs. Macnab…seeing our Kinders have their 1st day of music as Mrs. L has her first day as a Husky…or seeing Mrs. Mobley have her 1st day as a Husky (again) teaching 1st grade. Back to School Night is tonight at 6:00 in the Event Center! 🎉 Schedules and locker info are posted on Parent/StudentVue, and hard copies will be available at the event. 🍽️ Enjoy dinner while connecting with staff and families. Senior parents will meet at 6:15 in Room 7 🎓, 6th grade families at 6:15 in Room 12 📚, and the MS Volleyball meeting will be at 7:30 in Room 9 🏐. We can’t wait to see you there!
